Retired executive from Ford Motor Company with over 39 years of Experience including Executive roles such as;  Director of the North American Manufacturing Business Office; Director of Global Powertrain Planning; General Manager, Corporate Planning; Auto Alliance International, Inc., a subsidiary of Ford and Mazda; Associate Director Ford/Mazda Engineering Compatibility; Associate Director, New Business and Market Development within the Product Strategy Office; Product Planning Manager Car Product Development and Product and Business Strategy Manager for Latin American Automotive Operations. Some positions included assignments located in Hiroshima, Japan and Valencia, Venezuela. Mr. Lewis started in 1977 within Product Development Engineering working on instrument panel designs for 1980 Escort, Ford’s first World Car.

Presently a partner at Strategic Planning Consultants, LLC - Partner- working with Executive Leadership and the Board leadership to confirm/modify mission and vision for the organization for Hamilton Community Health Network, and Authority Health in Detroit.

Currently Mr. Lewis is Board President (since 2001) of DAPCEP, the Detroit Area Pre-College Education Program – a STEM program which strengthens math and science curriculum for over 13,000 students annually nationwide. This program was founded in 1976 and has a 100% high school graduation rate. Mr. Lewis currently spends his personal time raising funds for this organization. Mr. Lewis member of the Board of Trustees at Bradley University and is a member of the Finance and Advancement Committees (Current – 2027).  Mr. Lewis serves on the Foster College School of Business Advisory Board of Bradley University.  He has also served on the advisory board for the College of Engineering and Technology at Bradley University (2001-2009). Mr. Lewis has served on several boards, including The ITA Foundation (2018-current), Graduate Management Admission Council – Administrator of GMAT Test (1997-2009) and served as Compensation lead for the Board to make recommendations for salary and bonus, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Foundation (1993-2005), Detroit Family Development, Marquette University Business School Advisory Board and the Engineering Society of Detroit.

Mr. Lewis served as National President (1993-98) and Interim CEO of the National Black MBA Association (2010). Mr. Lewis served on the Board of Directors from 1986-2012. He currently serves on the advisory Board of Directors. He was the co-founder of the National Scholarship program that has provided millions of dollars to deserving business students. Mr. Lewis also served as National Vice President from 1986-89 and received the MBA of the Year Award in 1990. Mr. Lewis is retired Chair and Co-Founder of the Ford-employees African Ancestry Network (2500 employees). FAAN focused on helping people help themselves through programs/seminars that focused on improving leadership, technical/business acumen, and networking skills, as well as vehicle sales in the African American Community. He also served in other leadership roles of FAAN including President.

Mr. Lewis received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University and MBA from Marquette University. He is married and has two children. He is an avid skier, enjoys tennis and basketball and is now a student of golf.
